Install Perdita Pro alongside the free theme and activate your first module.

Installation

Free theme

  1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Appearance > Themes > Add New
  2. Search for "Perdita" or upload the theme ZIP
  3. Click Install, then Activate
  4. Follow the setup wizard, or go to Perdita in the sidebar

Pro plugin

PRO
  1. Download the Pro plugin ZIP from your account dashboard
  2. In WordPress, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin
  3. Choose the ZIP file, click Install Now, then Activate
  4. Go to Perdita > Perdita Pro to activate your license

License activation

  1. Copy your license key from your account dashboard or purchase confirmation email
  2. In WordPress, go to Perdita > Perdita Pro
  3. Paste your license key and click Activate
  4. Turn on the modules you want under Perdita > Modules

Each license key has a limited number of site activations depending on your plan. You can manage activations from your account dashboard.

Quick start guides

Caching Pro

  1. Enable the free Caching module first, under Perdita > Modules
  2. Turn on Caching Pro in the same Modules list
  3. No settings to configure. Minification applies automatically to cached pages

Backups Pro

  1. Enable the free Backups module first, so local backup sets exist
  2. Turn on Backups Pro under Perdita > Modules
  3. Go to Perdita > Backups and add your S3-compatible bucket credentials
  4. New backups upload off-site automatically after the local set finishes

Forms Pro

  1. Build a form under Perdita > Forms (the free field builder)
  2. Turn on Forms Pro under Perdita > Modules
  3. Edit the form to add steps, conditional logic, file uploads, or a Stripe payment field
  4. Connect Mailchimp or a webhook under the form's Integrations tab

SEO Pro

  1. Go to Perdita > SEO to confirm the free SEO module is active
  2. Turn on SEO Pro under Perdita > Modules
  3. Open any post or page to see the per-post SEO editor and SERP preview
  4. Set up redirects under Perdita > SEO > Redirects

Security Pro

  1. Turn on Security Pro under Perdita > Modules (no free module required)
  2. Go to Perdita > Security to turn on two-factor authentication
  3. Enable file-change monitoring to get alerted when a theme or plugin file changes

FAQ

What are the minimum requirements?

WordPress 6.4 or higher and PHP 8.0 or higher, matching the free Perdita theme.

Do I need the free Perdita theme?

Yes. Perdita Pro is a companion plugin, not a second theme. It registers its modules into the same Modules screen the free theme already has, and does nothing if Perdita (or a child theme of it) isn't active.

Do all 12 modules require a purchase?

Yes, all 12 are gated behind one Perdita Pro license. Several also require their matching free module to be turned on first (noted in each module's description on the Features page).

Where are Sales Pro and Forms Pro payments processed?

Through Stripe. You'll need a Stripe account connected under the free Sales or Forms module before the Pro payment features do anything.

Can I try Pro without buying a license?

Yes. The plugin ships a documented demo key that unlocks every Pro module for evaluation, no purchase or network call required. Look for the "Use the demo key" button on the Perdita Pro settings screen.
